All Mine...

I got this new lockmachine last week, i have wanted one for some time now, but wasn't sure what it did in addition to my sewing machine. Then my cousin came to visit us and she had made an adorable little vest for Noor, on her lockmachine. I decided i needed one also and my parents where so kind to give me some money for my birthday ( in october, lol) so the choice was made: TADAAAAAH!!!!

It's a Girl!!!!!

Yup...our little girl was born Tuesday april 5th after a crazy week in the hospital. We went for an ultrasound on March 31 to see if she was laying ok for a normal delivery..My bloodpressure was checked and again it was much to high..., They send me to the hospital and they told me i had Help syndrom and had to stay in the hospital for observation untill my 37th week before they would do something...A few days later they offered me an entry in a study programm where i had a chance to have the baby before the 37th week, but it was a 50/50 chance i could get in. They did a draw and Yay!!! I could start monday and on tuesday morning i was ready to deliver!!! Everything went very well and our daughter Noor Sophie was born at 3.48 am...2635 grams..49cm tall...I got home on thursday and Noor is still in the hospital, but she is doing soooo good, she will be home soon too!!! Pics tomorrow!!!

As promised

I promised a while back that i would show pics of the apron i sent for the CP Valentines Apron Swap. When i wanted to upload the pics, i accidently stuffed the usb-cable in the wrong port and my new laptop broke down, so it had to be repaired. When i got the laptop back i was hesitant to upload pics again..but i was brave and did so tonight..Unfortunately the pic of the apron i sewed for my partner wasn't on my computer anymore, and she hasn't received it yet..(Keke if you are reading this, i will replace it if you still havent gotten it in another week or so) But i do have pics of the wonderfull apron my partner send me for this swap.

I have also been making some sweats for our boy from old sweaters from me, i just followed the tutorial on http://www.dana-made-it.com/, very easy and fun to do!

And i have started on a few quilts; one for our boy, one for the new baby, one for my mom, and one for me...all from 5 inch squares...i need lots and lots of them, so in order to get those i have been doing a few fun scrap/square swaps!
Nothing to show yet..but now that the picture uploading went well i will soon...

some sewing

Not for me or the new baby, but for some swaps i sewed two aprons, wich i will show here after the recipients have received it and i made a playpenquilt and diaper stacker to sell on marktplaats and etsy. I have sooo much fabric, time to sew it all up ( so i can buy more, oops...)

New toy!

Ever since i got my new Singer 7442 last january i had problems with it..I could not sew seams that where visible because i just could not get them neat and nice..stitches where uneven or i could just pull a thread and undo all the stitching. Good thing was that i got this deal with it that i could return it within the year and get my money back ( when purchasing another machine that is) and here it is:

My brandnew Janome 3030!!!
It sews so nice and it even has a switch for slow sewing, even when you push the footpedal to the metal, hahaha..

I just tried it one evening, i have been down with a nasty stomach flu this weekend and just feeling well enough to sit behind the computer...
